10% Niacinamide + Zinc PCA: A Balanced Approach to Oily and Combination Skin
Oily skin does not necessarily need aggressive cleansing or products that leave it feeling stripped. A more considered approach is to address the appearance of excess shine while maintaining hydration. That principle sits behind our Skinical Balance Serum, formulated with 10% niacinamide, Zinc PCA and Oiless’city.
Why 10% niacinamide?
Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3, is widely used in cosmetic skincare because it is compatible with several common skin concerns. In Skinical Balance Serum, 10% niacinamide forms the core of a formula designed to help balance the appearance of excess shine, refine the look of visible pores and support more even-looking skin texture.
These are cosmetic appearance claims. Blemish-prone skin can have many causes, and a cosmetic serum should not be represented as treating acne or another medical condition.
Why pair niacinamide with Zinc PCA?
Zinc PCA combines zinc with pyrrolidone carboxylic acid and is commonly incorporated into formulations intended for oily or combination skin. In our serum, it complements niacinamide within the formula’s oil-balance positioning.
What is Oiless’city?
Oiless’city is included as another component of the formula’s approach to shine and skin balance. Rather than attributing the finished product’s performance to one ingredient alone, we use it alongside niacinamide and Zinc PCA as part of the complete formulation.
Why oily skin still needs hydration
Oil and hydration are different aspects of skin condition. A person can experience surface oiliness while the skin still benefits from humectants. Skinical Balance Serum therefore contains ingredients including glycerin, propanediol and sodium hyaluronate to help maintain lightweight hydration.
This is also why the finished serum is designed to absorb quickly and sit comfortably beneath moisturiser, sunscreen and makeup rather than leaving a heavy or greasy finish.
Who is Skinical Balance Serum for?
The serum is designed for oily, combination and blemish-prone skin, particularly when the cosmetic concerns include excess shine, visible pores and uneven-looking texture.
Apply 1–2 pumps to clean skin morning and/or evening. Follow with moisturiser and use sunscreen during the day. As with any concentrated skincare product, patch testing before first use is sensible.
Balance rather than stripping
The formulation philosophy behind Skinical Balance is straightforward: oily skin can be supported without treating hydration as the enemy. Niacinamide, Zinc PCA and Oiless’city provide the formula’s balancing focus, while humectants maintain the lightweight hydration needed for a comfortable daily serum.
Cosmetic products can support the appearance and condition of skin; they are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. Individual results can vary.
